Balaboosta came about as I strived to find an affordable, delicious, healthy option on nights when not only didn’t I want to cook, I didn’t even want to think about what to make for dinner.

Take-out was more of a treat, meal plans were just not my jam- the food is just too industrial. Plus most plans eliminate shopping but, I still had to cook and clean all those pots and pans. Life gets busy and believe me when you spend all day cooking the last thing you want to do is cook again.

Dinnertime has always been my favorite time, when I was single I would cook nice dinners for myself. As a member of a single parent household I I would often cook dinner for my family. Dinnertime was time for us to connect, to unwind and spend quality time together. I cook dinner for my husband and I , and the occasional friend almost every single night. Quality time is enhanced by quality food

Buuuut no matter how much I love to cook, I still need a break once in awhile, and I would think to myself “if only I could find someone just like me to cook for me.”

I’ve been a professional chef for over 20 years- I’ve catered, worked in restaurants, been a private chef, always cooking from the heart. My goal with Balaboosta is to bring my table to yours, healthful, thoughtful dinners, salads, soups, desserts, snacks made by hand, with care and compassion using as many local ingredients as I can while still offering affordable meals.

All of Balaboosta’s dishes are made from scratch, highlighting the seasons and are made for you! Our creative dishes will be provided ready to heat and eat, to freeze if you like and in some cases ready to toss on the grill.

I am excited to have you join me in this experiment. I’m excited to share my food stories with you. I’m excited to be able to nourish you, your family, your people.
